This year’s tournament was absolutely fantastic… and if you came out to play or volunteer, I hope you will agree! While it was a little smaller than last year, over 80 players still came out for a great day of golf. The weather, although hot, was gorgeous and everyone seemed to have a really great time. Even though we would much, much rather have Isaac here in our arms, we are honored to have a platform form which to share the love, significance, and hope that is found in Jesus Christ.

Looking forward to what God is going to do in and through the Isaac Delisle Foundation as we seek to walk alongside other families who have lost a child or whose baby has been given a poor or fatal prenatal diagnosis. While we aren’t completely sure of all of the ways that may flesh out, we are confident that God will use the Foundation and are grateful to be able to extend the comfort and hope of Jesus to others.

The Second Annual Isaac Timothy Delisle Memorial Golf Tournament!

This tournament, played in memory of Isaac, will be benefiting the Isaac Delisle Foundation. It is being sponsored by the Men’s Ministry of Mountain View Community Church. The Isaac Delisle Foundation founded by Stacy and Spencer Delisle in memory of their son, Isaac, is a non-denominational Christian ministry based in Frederick, Maryland to support bereaved parents who have lost a child through miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant death; to parents who have chosen to continue a pregnancy despite a poor or fatal prenatal diagnosis; and to other organizations and institutions who care for such parents..

This year’s tournament will take place Friday, August 20, 2010 with food, awards, and program to follow. It will be taking place at the Worthington Manor Golf Club in Urbana, Maryland.

2009 Tournament Recap

The 1st Annual Isaac Timothy Delisle Memorial Golf Tournament was awesome! 104 golfers came out to play, despite crazy thunderstorms causing an hour delay in getting started, and coming back at the end of the round. Golfers were wonderful about hanging out in the clubhouse during the time we were delayed, and truthfully, once they got back out on the course, it was beautiful. Until the storms came back, that is! Everyone was in great spirits when they returned after their round to join us for dinner, and that part of the evening went great as well. We had an amazing group of volunteers doing everything from helping get people signed in, greeting golfers at holes, driving snack carts, setting up centerpieces, and taking pictures. God provided so abundantly for this day.

And while the golf shirts and towels we had ordered looked awesome, everything was organized from a logistical standpoint, and over $6,000 was raised for the perinatal loss unit at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital, I don’t believe those are the things that made the day great.

The day was great because Isaac was remembered, God was glorified, and hearts were touched.

Thank you so much to those of you who joined us yesterday for the 1st Annual Isaac Timothy Delisle Memorial Golf Tournament! It is our sincerest hope that whether you came out to play golf, volunteer, or join us for dinner, that you had a wonderful time and were blessed by being an integral part of raising money to support parents who have lost a child through the work of the perinatal loss unit at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital.

It is being sponsored by the Men’s Ministry of Mountain View Community Church. The Perinatal Loss Unit at Shady Grove offers support to families who have lost a child before, at, or shortly after birth.
